Max Verstappen Surpasses Lewis Hamilton’s Career Win Percentage with Imola Triumph



Max Verstappen’s victory at the Emilia Romagna Grand Prix has allowed him to overtake Lewis Hamilton’s lifetime win %.

With his 59th victory in his 192nd grand prix, Verstappen has surpassed Hamilton with a 30.73% F1 lifetime win rate.

Verstappen now sits fourth all-time behind Jim Clark, Juan Manuel Fangio, and Alberto Ascari.

Verstappen’s 59th win in his 192nd Grand Prix gives him a career win percentage of 30.73%, edging ahead of Hamilton’s 30.38%.

Had Michael Schumacher not made his disastrous Mercedes comeback, his percentage would have been an astounding 36.55%.

With Mercedes unlikely to win a race in 2024 and Red Bull’s excellent form, the gap between the two is expected to get bigger this year.
